On the left side of our house we wanted to add a small attic as a small space to retreat and to store items we don’t use often. To build it we cut some old wood into 5x7 cm beams. We first oiled them with lineseed oil. Afterwards we used wood joints to assemble them together into a frame. We covered the top with 12mm ESB boards and finished the floor with oak parquet in the same way as the floor downstairs.
