We welcomed Biel Sauret as our first resident within the second Nomad City Residency. Through a series of participatory experiments he wanted to research the relationship between music and community. During his two week stay he showed us how to connect with our surroundings and each other using only our voice, instruments or a simple soup bowl and spoon.
"Home is in every one of us, is in each other. It’s in this world that makes and surrounds us. Listen carefully, early morning, our home is to take care of it. Get closer, understand it. Listen to his voice, his voices. And reply, at noon, with our voice, our voices. Starting a conversation, a dialogue. Which becomes melody, song. And, towards the evening, create songs. Share songs. Songs that tell us life stories, that open up new paths, that change us. Songs to connect. Songs to return Home.” - Biel Sauret
