Virginia Lui is a multi-disciplinary designer and artist from Sydney, but currently based in Vienna. She holds a Bachelor in Architecture and a Master in Social Design and has worked on projects dealing with right-wing populism, security guards, rights to public space and migration. She is currently doing her PhD investigating the different timescapes of cities and its people and the possible conflicts that arises from temporal incongruences.
“ I use art as a medium to express issues that are of concern. Art gives me the space to take risks. I often work in collaboration with social scientists and my work usually begins with research that is then translated artistically.”
