Nowadays it is very difficult to find out where our food comes from and it is even harder to find out what it is made of. Within the Nomad City project we want to rethink our relationship with what we eat and experiment with ways of growing our own food. One way of doing this is by using wicking beds. Within these systems plants are watered from below rather than above. This can help plants to survive during dry summer months which are becoming more common due to the climate crisis.
